We support transformative AI in education.
While school districts everywhere are racing to ban AI, Curriki, a nonprofit, has unapologetically made supporting AI in schools our primary objective. We are putting all of our resources, both time and money, behind transformative AI for students and teachers.
Why we support AI in schools

Six convictions guide our mission
These are the best learning tools we’ve seen in 20 years
AI-driven software analyzes student progress, differentiates instruction, tutors students where they are, and helps teachers work more effectively. And we’re only a few years into the AI era.
Teachers deserve better tools, not an impossible job
We’ve asked teachers to be experts in everything for nearly 30 students at once. AI can handle individualized instruction so teachers can do what only they can: inspire, connect, and lead.
Blocking what’s becoming obsolete isn’t protection
Nobody misses the card catalog. When AI becomes the standard for a task, students should learn the better way, with caution and limits that fit their age.
Banning is easy. Evolution is hard.
Bans and policing don’t work. The only path forward is real curricular reform that asks more of students: to build more, think bigger, and use AI as a force multiplier.
Thoughtful embrace, not blind acceptance
Banning AI isn’t a solution, ignoring it isn’t a solution, and blindly accepting it isn’t a solution. We support careful choices about which tools to use, how, and when.
Not all screen time is equal
Parents worry about short videos and social media, not about great learning software. Blanket bans throw out the best tools along with the worst, and students pay the price.
We aren’t putting the genie back in the bottle, so let’s focus on helping students and educators accomplish more with it.
The future of learning with AI, across the grades
AI in schools isn’t one-size-fits-all. Click an educational level to see how we think about it differently.

The teacher facilitates, software differentiates
Adaptive software handles leveled, individualized instruction. Teachers bring the class together for conversation, hands-on work, and projects that connect learning to the real world.

Caution, balanced with common sense
No one supports unrestricted AI for this age group. But when a safe, student-focused AI tool has made an old skill obsolete, students should learn the better way.

Curriculum, elevated
School-wide AI policies, departments that rethink their courses, and higher expectations: broader scopes, more collaboration, and deeper research, with teachers as facilitators.

Beliefs only matter if they reach classrooms. Here’s where our time and money go.
